Vonk's Nigerien Log

August 27

We caught a ride to the cyber cafe because the line is down at the guest house again.
Our classes end on Friday afternoon and we leave Niger about Midnight Friday. This will probably be our last email until Europe. There is a chance that we will be meeting with Eriko Fukuda, the Japanese student who stayed with us during the 2006 summer. She will be studying in France and emailed us that she would like to meet us in Paris. We are hoping this can be arranged. We also look forward to meeting with our dear friends from India, the Sundarams, in Barcelona where they are visiting their son.

We heard about all the rain falling on SW Michigan. I'm sure the Timmer boys are keeping busy mowing our lawn.

We are trying to attach a class picture of the teachers in Maradi.

We send our love. T&E
