Addo's wife, Lydia, at right, her friend, and Eleanor
Wednesday, February 4, 2004
Today was an office day. Ted and Dr. Addo spent from 9:A.M. to 12:30 detailing
plans for a new school at Zinder. They accomplished enough for Ted to
follow through when we settle back to life in Michigan. When they finished,
Dr. Addo drove us to some land he and Lydia have purchased with hopes
to build a home there in a few years.
We worked on lesson plans for our evening class and at 4:o'clock Tom picked
us up so that we could check on reservations and tickets for our flight
Saturday morning at 12:55A.M. to Paris. We have been here a month, in
many ways it has gone fast and in other ways it has become a way of life.
We are excited to return home and, yet, filled with regret for having
to leave. We have been blessed with good health and there isn't anything
we would have planned differently. Our itinerary after we leave Niamey
is to spend a week in Europe before returning to Michigan on February
14th.
Thanks for your love and support.
