The cross in Africa - logo at the guest house office

We are just back from our evening class and before going to bed we'll
get a web message out and ready to send for tomorrow. We were out and
about this morning enjoying another perfect weather day. Right after lunch
we heard the wind blow and looking out the window the beatuiful blue sky
had turned yellow. The Harmattan winds were blowing Sahara sand from the
north. We walked up the hill to the main office where there is a phone
and where we have been checking our email. It was hard to breath and we
could feel the grit in our teeth. When we said to the office director
that we must be experiencing the Harmattan winds and dust, he said, "Oh
this is nothing, sometimes we can't see the gate," (the gate is about
200 feet away).
So we were glad it was just a little storm. The winds did die down, but
the dust lingered in the air.
