We celebrated in worship with the believers in the EERN Church in Niamey this morning. It was a glorious time of song, praise, prayer, and message. Church started at 9:o'clock, we were there a few minutes early. Right at 9: the service opened with prayer and choir numbers. There were only about 30 people there at that time, but as the singing continued the choir members increased and the church pews filled. The music..that is the singing of the choirs and congregation accompanied by several different drums was great. A youth choir sang, a women's choir then a men's choir; all singing many songs. A few tunes were familar but most were not. It was fun to sing along because we could follow the written words, not knowing exactly what they meant, but still praising God. Again men and women sat on separate sides of the church. We were encouraged by the number of young people in attendance. Lots of young families and teens. By 9:45 the church was filled. The service was 2 1/2 hours long, ending at 11:30. It was a joy!

We had our most relaxing day so far. It was good to reflect and rest up for next week. We prepared for the classes we will teach beginning tomorrow evening, went for a walk, and spent a rather lazy Sunday afternoon.
Love, T & E
